Lovely game.
I do not know If I'm doing something wrong, but I didn't get any of the meddals, and I never triggered the perpetual ending.
Lovely concept.
Edit: I is dumb. Of course I had to update. Great concept. It's literary a 1 dimensional game, you only move in a line. But unlike its cube, minimalistic counterparts, it has this lovely retro look.
Would have loved to play it in a dark room when little with friends. Loved it.

Oh try just refreshing, the medals should work once you do. You have to choose not to take the gun at the end to get the other ending :)

Sorry, but the gameplay is too frustrating against the giant, and I am not invested in the ball to care about it, just made me mad lol.
I would fix the moving mechanics, because it is too difficult to go in a direction and calculate your burn up with your speed.
Great concept, loved it.

edit: Yet, I keep trying to beat it.

What can I say... I'm flattered and a bit surprised by the effort that some of you are pouring into this thing I've made. Thanks for playing and trying hard, you may want to punch me in the face at this point but I want to hug you instead <3

Love the game but you NEEED cookies yo save gameplay. There graphics do not match at all. Pixel art, a sprite for character and the power/spells. I really don't mind about graphics but it is something I would consider to give it a more polished look.
Such a great game use it even with ads included!
Edit: Also, if you forget to level up an ability, it is lost forever. I don't know if it is optional or not. Like, level 3, you miss level 2 abilities if you don't pick them (some players like to do a hard run then level up all at once)

This game is solely for fun so I won't be putting any advertisements in it.
I'm a little confused what you mean by forgetting to level up an ability, are you talking about talents? I've tried to replicate what you were talking about but I've had no luck.

This shit's cocaine. Great work, though a wiki with more info would help.
Totally adictive and with plenty of room to experiment. I would add a sandbox mode after you've defeated the game with 3 characters or more. Just so you can mess around

For the love of Snake, add checkpoints. The game is great but retrying many times in order to receive nothing is very tyresome. Still, a wonderful concept and the snake AI is well designed.

Thank you for the suggestion! Since the game has 3 levels and it's somewhat difficult, checkpoints would probably be a good idea, but the idea didn't occur to me during development and I only had 72 hours. I will look into possibly adding lives/checkpoints in the future when the Ludum Dare competition judging period has ended.

I liked the first one, a nice twist on the game but then it's just plain old arkanoid, but now we have a slow boost on an already slow game. Points for AMAZING graphics

Awesome. Great graphics if a bit monotone, like things were all of the same hue? Sorry, I don't know the technical terms for visuals. ike sometimes things were hard to distiguish. The music got a bit boring but loved it. great game.

Thanks for the comment! I understand what you mean, I did this to make sure that the background doesn't make it difficult at all to see what's going on.

Not voting until I get a reply, maybe its my pc, but the game plays really slow

Construct2 shows this problem on laptops or PC with video adapters that doesn't support WebGL effects.

Loved it, though I would make the controls less wonky (jumping is very tight) and the attacks take some time to come out. Plus a tutorial to get used to the style would be great.
Music is a 10, and I hATe most videogame's music.

Yea the movement has a slight learning curve but I promise if you give it a few runs you'll be a pro.

Kind of good, but the thing is i don't understand the message/point of the game.

It's about the lengths that some people from third-world countries would cross to receive an acceptable standard of living. It's actually also a little autobiographical.

I don't blame you for not getting it :) . This was a prototype made in two days. I'll try to deliver the message better in the remake. For example, I'm removing the "Syria" name-drop because in retrospect it's confusing people.
